For this 4th edition organized by the Laboratory of Research in Languages, Anglophone Literature Culture, and civilization known as LaReLLiCCA, which took place on November 14, 15 and 16, 2025 at the Université de Lomé, it was a question of rethinking the strategies for creating and maintaining security for sustainable peace in the ECOWAS region. There are many ways to achieve peace, from training to employability, through the management of daily life over the long term and the facilitation of interpersonal, inter-institutional and inter-state relations, it is possible to create a peaceful and shared atmosphere. The individual is a link in the chain of security. Its actions constitute a form of contribution whose quality must be monitored  so that the impact does not experience unpleasant deviations. Individual and cumulative peace leads to lasting peace.

For an ECOWAS of peace, the various reflections have led each individual, researchers, teacher-researchers and experts from the socio-economic world as well as representatives of civil society to understand that each citizen, even in his or her own country, is a representative of the ECOWAS region and that every peace action, every strategy created, every approach undertaken to meet the challenges of the moment is part of the consolidation of paradigms of sustainable peace.

Modeling is planning.  It is a concept chosen for individuals, institutions and states to set in motion cause-and-effect relations to avoid being surprised by the result or logical consequence of acts carried out without calculation in human and institutional relations. All the communications agree that a better life or a better project is the one that links the effects to their cause so that each undesirable cause can be substituted by the right one for the best effects.

For the Director of LaRelliCCA, Professor Ataféï PEWISSI, a better future is being prepared and linked in the present. The various symposia since 2020 on the challenges of peace, security, integration and strategy modelling aim to bring together the ideal conditions for sustainable peace for the present and the future.

Teacher-researchers and researchers therefore have the vocation to anticipate crises so that day-to-day management is controlled and of high quality.
