

The Laboratory of Research in Languages, Anglophoone Literature, Culture, and Civilizations (LaReLLiCCA) at Université de Lomé has been committed to applied multidisciplinary research through scholarly conferences and the publication of civic education materials as part of its contribution to promoting sustainable peace in Togo and all over the world, This work led to the publication of the booklet Sustainable Peace Before, During, and After Elections, published by Éditions Awoudy in December 2023. The outstanding activity that characterized. the dedication of the booklet was the launching of the ‘Sustainable Peace Citizen Prize’ project, which aims to make every citizen both a co-creator of peace and a custodian of its achievements. According to Professor Ataféï Pewissi, Director of LaReLLiCCA, the initiative seeks to mobilize the academic community in undertaking concrete actions that promote peace and active citizenship in the service of social welfare. This initiative stresses aspect of peace building research thematic of the Université de Lomé. The core of this research aim is to foster inclusive and peaceful society whereby each citizen actively contributes to social cohesion, security and sustainable development.
